Andrew Peters, GISP

Dewberry
Senior Associate/Project Manager
Mr. Peters has 13+ years of experience managing and producing 30+ large-scale GIS projects for Federal and state clients in 25 states. As a geospatial manager for a local government, he managed the wastewater and storm water geospatial programs and had two articles published in Esri’s ArcNews publication. At Dewberry, Andrew regularly blogs on elevation and lidar related issues. He has done record drawing georeferencing and conversion for Baltimore County, MD, managed impervious surface mapping in Gwinnett County, GA, and worked with Prince William County Service Authority to improve their business processes and migrate their entire work order system to a new software platform. In addition to his work with GIS asset management, Andrew specializes in using GIS to assess the data accuracy by comparing raw LiDAR data with ground survey data, generating bare-earth models, and developing GIS methods for contour line creation, flood analysis, and other terrain studies. Recently, Andrew has supported Fairfax County, VA and is helping them exploit their QL1 LiDAR data to provide solutions based on the latest elevation data.
