Geoff Tapalu is a Geographer at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District. He is interested in applying GIS and Remote Sensing technologies to protect people, property, and natural resources. He works on a variety of projects, such as levee inspections, dam surveys, stormwater management, shoreline protection, and improving navigation in federal channels.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and French from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and Management with a focus in GIS & Remote Sensing form the University of Rhode Island. He currently serves on Chesapeake URISA's Education Committee.
